Key Highlights of the Kick-off Meeting

The kick-off meeting was an important moment to set the foundation for the project’s future success. Several key topics were discussed, providing clear direction for the project’s activities and goals. Here’s an overview of the main points:

  1. Partnership Agreements & NA Recommendations
The partners discussed the partnership agreements and carefully reviewed the recommendations from the National Agencies (NAs). This ensures that the collaboration between the project partners runs smoothly and aligns with the overarching Erasmus+ guidelines.

  2. Defining Tasks & Responsibilities
During the meeting, the roles and responsibilities of each partner were defined in detail. Clear delegation of tasks is essential to maintain efficiency and ensure that all project milestones are achieved on time.

  3. Setting Goals & Deadlines for Activities 1, 2, and 3
A critical part of the discussions focused on the specific goals for each of the first three activities. These goals are directly tied to the project’s objectives, which include enhancing educator preparation, fostering student engagement, and encouraging cross-curricular connections on climate-related topics. Deadlines were set to keep the project on track, ensuring that each phase is completed in a timely manner.

  4. Financial Management
Proper financial management is key to the success of any Erasmus+ project, and Green Horizons is no exception. The meeting covered the budgeting and financial planning needed to keep the project on solid ground throughout its duration.

  5. Dissemination & Quality Management
Dissemination and quality control are vital components of the project’s framework. Ensuring that the project’s outcomes reach a broad audience is just as important as maintaining high-quality standards in the deliverables. The meeting addressed strategies for effective dissemination and set guidelines for quality assurance at every stage of the project.

Looking Ahead: Empowering Educators and Students

Green Horizons is more than just a project; it’s a call to action for educators and students to take an active role in combating climate change. By providing innovative resources and fostering collaboration, the project will help schools across Europe to implement sustainability-focused curricula and inspire students to become environmental advocates.

As we move forward, the Green Horizons team is focused on delivering high-quality materials and organizing activities that will make a real difference in the classroom. Stay tuned for more updates on the progress of the project and how you can get involved in this exciting initiative.

Together, we can build a greener future by empowering the next generation of environmental leaders.
